The Groove Returns, Stronger, Deeper, Funkier

Last weekend (Sept 05–07), we had to hit pause on our livestreams due to a personal illness, and while your host Dre was down for the count, I’m happy to say I’m on the mend, stronger than ever, and ready to bring the fire back to LmLw Radio this weekend.

We’re turning the page in a big way: Tuesday, Sept 16 kicks off the first of my 7-part in-depth review series of the Reloop RP-8000 MK2 turntable, a deep dive for every vinyl head and selector who wants to know why this deck is about to become a game-changer for LmLw Radio.

But that’s just the start. This weekend is stacked:

Rhônea, Les Confluences 2022 (Vinsobres AOP, Cru des Côtes du Rhône)

This week we head to the southern Rhône Valley, where the rugged hills of Vinsobres give us a wine that is both powerful and beautifully balanced. Crafted by Artisans Vignerons at Rhônea, Les Confluences 2022 showcases the character of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grown in stony soils at altitude, delivering freshness with depth.

🍇 Grape Varietals: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre (with supporting notes of Cinsault & Viognier)
🌍 Region: Vinsobres AOP, Southern Rhône, France
🪨 Terroir: Rocky hillside vineyards, 200–300m altitude, cooler microclimate balancing ripeness and structure
👃 Nose: Ripe dark fruits (blackberry, plum), violets, Mediterranean herbs, and spice
👄 Palate: Juicy black cherry, pepper, and cocoa with earthy minerality
✨ Finish: Long, elegant, with silky tannins and vibrant freshness
